The ethno group "Sveti Dimitrije" was formed in 2000 with the desire to nurture traditional song, folk narratives, and spiritual-cultural heritage. Over its 25 years of existence, the group has preserved songs from oblivion through its performances and conveyed them to the audience through authentic ethno expression.
Their work connects faith, custom, folk song, and community, which is why the concert in the courtyard of the Cathedral Church holds special cultural and emotional significance within the Nevesinjska olimpijada.
Songs That Stay in Memory
During its work, the ethno group "Sveti Dimitrije" released an audio CD, and among the songs that stand out are "Welcome Mitrovdan" and "Svetosavlje".
A special place is held by the song "How Much Strength the Hum Land Has", after which the album is named, and which was written by Bishop Grigorije. Through these songs, the group preserves the spirit of Herzegovina, faith, memory, and a sense of belonging to the people and tradition.
